In Chennai, PVR Cinemas opened a five-screen multiplex in Grand Mall, Velachery. Which is located near the Velachery Bus stand. At Velachery, this was the first significant launch. With 44 cities and 108 properties throughout all of India, PVR now has 482 screens in total.
The recently opened multiplex has 1,275 seats and a floor size of 50,000 square feet. The multiplex network expands its foothold in southern India with this debut, adding 110 screens across 17 sites. PVR has set a goal for this year of surpassing 500 screens.
