In terms of screen count, PVR cinemas is the market leader in India. Since its inception in 1997, the brand has transformed the cinema business and the way people in the nation view movies. The Company has steadily expanded its screen network over the years via both organic and inorganic means, including significant investments and acquisitions such as those of Cinemax Cinemas in November 2012, DT Cinemas in May 2016, and SPI Cinemas in August 2018. These additions contributed 138 screens, 32 screens, and 76 screens, respectively, to our screen network. With a total seating capacity of over 1.82 lakh seats, we now operate 846 screens in 176 theatres throughout 71 cities in India and Sri Lanka.
